When it comes to lip products, the trend has been the more pigment the better. It is all about rich saturation, from nude to bold to vampy colors as well as matte, glossy, satin, and metallic finishes. Thing is, when you have minimal makeup the options are chapstick or nude lips; or so you thought! I’ve been trying out a few lip products that give your lips a little extra something, without a lot of pigment, but is also a step above lip balm. I don’t have pictures of me wearing the products, because it doesn’t look like I’m wearing anything on camera. So, do with that information what you will.
Fenty Beauty Lip Gloss
Home girl was NOT kidding when this lip gloss got named the universal lip luminizer. It has the smallest amount of a peachy nude, and it just looks SO GOOD. The formula is amazing too! It’s soft, not sticky, and you can’t feel the shimmery bits.
YSL volupte tint in balm
this balm is unlike anything I’ve ever put on my lips before. It’s like a soft veil of goodness on my lips. It definitely doesn’t feel like a traditional balm; it’s more like an oil??? Like you know when you’re eating popcorn and the butter residue is left on your lips? It’s like that but not gross. The balm comes in a lot of colors. I have #1 , Dream me Nude, which is described as a neutral mauve. #2 tease me pink, #7 Flirt me Coral, and #3 call me rose are some more “your lips but better” shades.
